No. 21 Dons Overpower Citrus in Final Preseason Game
No. 21 Santa Ana is set to open OEC play against No. 3 Orange Coast after routing Citrus 92-28 on Saturday.
GLENDORA, Calif. - No. 21 SAC women's basketball routed the Citrus Owls 92-28 in their final preseason game of the season on Saturday afternoon.
Kiki Graham had her best offensive game of the season with 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting to lead all scorers. The sophomore guard out of Sonora High also added seven boards, two assists and a couple steals in the win.
Fellow starters Faith Ledesma (16 points), Anaya Beard (14 points / 11 rebounds), Vicki Om (10 points / 7 rebounds / 5 assists) joined her in double digits while Mia Rivera finished with nine points and 10 assists.
This also marked the best defensive game of the season thus far for the Dons (12-4) as they held the Owls to just 28 points on just 12.7 percent (9-71).
Santa Ana also saw sophomore Chloe Espinoza have the best game of her collegiate career. The forward from Magnolia High posted 14 points (7-9 FGM-A) and 14 boards in just 17 minutes of action.
The Dons will now prepare to begin Orange Empire Conference play on Friday as they go on the road to face No. 3 ranked Orange Coast College at 7:00 p.m.
