Berard Named 3CFCA Player of the Week
Ihilani Berard picked up three wins to earn 3CFCA Player of the Week honors.
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Ihilani Berard was named California Community College Fastpitch Coaches' Association Player of the Week on Monday, March 23rd after helping the Santa Ana College softball team win three out of four games from March 17-20.
The freshman pitcher out of Santiago High threw 22.1 innings and picked up three wins while also going 7-for-16 at the plate.
Berard has been phenomenal on both sides of the field this season, leading the Dons in batting average at .456 and ERA at 3.86.
Santa Ana continues their season this week with a three game series against No. 6 ranked Fullerton.
