SANTA ANA, Calif - Santa Ana College men's basketball has punched their ticket to the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) SoCal Regionals and will travel to play against No. 13 East LA (18-9, 9-1) on Wednesday night.
The Dons (20-8, 6-8) earned the No. 20 seed in the bracket after starting the season 14-0 but finishing fifth in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) standings.
Sophomore guard Cameron Swist led the way for the Dons down the stretch, earning first-team All-OEC honors while averaging 13.6 points per game in conference play. Freshman guards Aaron De Santiago and Christien Jimenez were named to the All-OEC second team.
Santa Ana will now gear up for a rematch of last year's 3C2A Regional Round Two matchup against East LA. The Dons came up just shy of an upset last season as they fell 75-68 on the road. The Huskies will be a tall task for SAC as they clinched their second consecutive South Coast - North Division Conference championship last Friday.
Tickets for all playoff games are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors (60+) / youth (6-12) and children under 6 are free.
