Dons Earn First OEC Win, Defeat Fullerton 3-1

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana Women's Volleyball earned their first Orange Empire Conference win of the season with a 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23) win over the Fullerton Hornets (3-9, 1-6) on Friday night.
Alexis Esparza led the Dons (5-11,1-6) in kills with six to go with four digs while Dayana Avila, Lyric Birdsong, Olivia Starr and Kaloafu Tuitavuki posted four kills a piece.
Birdsong and Avila also contributed in other ways, combining for 35 digs and 10 aces.
Setters Alexis Tortola and Hadassah Miranda totaled 20 assists and 20 digs between the two of them, giving the Dons a boost on both sides of the net.
SAC hopes to continue to add to their win total as they continue conference play on Wednesday at Santiago Canyon. It'll be early game time at 2:00 p.m.
