SANTA ANA, Calif. - No. 19 Santa Ana Women's Volleyball got back into the win column on Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep against Fullerton (7-9, 3-3) before coming up with another huge upset against No. 11 Orange Coast (11-3, 4-2) on Friday night.
The Dons (11-2, 4-2) needed both wins to stay in contention for an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title. Prior to Friday's match, OCC held a one game lead on the Dons after defeating Cypress 3-1 in their last match.
With the win, SAC put themselves in a tie with OCC and Saddleback for second place in the OEC standings while they all trail Irvine Valley by just one game.
The Dons will go on the road next week to face Santiago Canyon on Wednesday and Riverside on Friday.
