SANTA ANA, Calif. – In another Orange Empire Conference matchup, the Don women's soccer team was slightly edged by the Cypress Chargers by a score of 1-0.
Santa Ana goalkeeper Fatima Pimentel was solid all game with five saves in 90 minutes but couldn't stop the Chargers from scoring the only goal of the day in the 23rd minute.
The Dons were aggressive in their attempt at a comeback, getting off five of their eight shots and recorded three corner kicks all in the second half but fell short in the end.
With just one game remaining, Santa Ana sits in seventh place in the OEC standings with a record of 5-11-3, 3-10-2.
SAC will host Norco College on Sophomore Day next Friday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. The Dons defeated the Norco Mustangs 4-1 on the road in their only other matchup this year.
