IRVINE, Calif. - The Santa Ana Women's Soccer team dropped a hard fought match by a score of 2-1 against the Irvine Valley Lasers (4-8-0, 3-2-0) in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action on Tuesday afternoon.
Although the Dons (1-9-0, 0-5-0) held IVC scoreless in the first half, the Lasers came to life and scored the first two goals of the game in a 21 minute span following the break.
But the Dons made it interesting as Samantha Diaz connected with Natalie Flores to score the first OEC goal for the Dons in the 89th minute.
The Lasers were able to hold on, stopping Santa Ana from earning their first win or draw in OEC play.
SAC will host Golden West in their next match on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
