SANTA ANA, Calif. - Selena Hernandez broke the program record for three point field goals made in a single game with 9 while helping Santa Ana Women's Basketball defeat the Golden West Rustlers (14-14, 1-11) 71-44 on Sophomore Night.
The Dons (10-16, 5-7) got off to a sluggish start but pulled away in the second half. Hernandez led the way with 33 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Sophia Escalante had a strong game in her final home contest with 18 points and six rebounds.
Brianna Urena also notched double digits in scoring with 11 to go with seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Sophomores Le'Lani Bell and Crystal Moreno posted two points each while combining for eight boards and two assists.
Santa Ana finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-16, 5-7.
