Navarro and Serrano Lead Dons With 2-0 Win Over Long Beach
The Dons open the 2016 season with a big win over Long Beach City College at 2-0.
SANTA ANA – The Dons open the 2016 season with a big win over Long Beach City College at 2-0. Freshmen Oscar Navarro and Everado Serrano each scored one goal to lead Santa Ana College.
In the first half, Oscar Navarro scored the first goal of the match in the 43rd minute with a one on one with the Long Beach City College's goalkeeper.
In the final stoppage minutes of the match, a foul was called in the goal box against the Vikings. Everado Serrano took the penalty shot and scored his first goal to seal the win for the Dons. Freshman goalkeeper Stephen Sanchez logged 90 minutes and made 2 saves for the Dons.
Men's soccer will play again on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at East Los Angeles College at 3:00 p.m.
