The 2012 baseball season came to an end as the Dons lost to Rio Hondo College 8-2 in the CCCAA Super Regional Championships.
After falling to host Rio Hondo College 5-1 in the winner's bracket of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern Super Regional Championships, the Dons advanced to the final day with a 9-6 win over El Camino College.

While losing an Orange Empire Conference series is rare enough for the Dons, a season sweep would have been a much more rare sight.
In his three previous outings, sophomore pitcher Bruce Tolliver pitched well for the Dons (13-5, 3-3) but had yet to become eligible for a win. That changed in the Dons 10-4 win over Saddleback College as Tolliver picked up his first win of the season.
